Privacy Policy
We safeguard your privacy with the same trust we uphold in teaching the Book of Allah. This policy explains how we handle your data.
Last updated: Jun 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Dar El Forkan Academy collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal data when you use our website and educational services. By using the site, you agree to its terms.
Information We Collect
When you create an account or enroll in one of our programs, we collect basic account information such as your name, email address, phone number, preferred language, and an encrypted password.
Enrollment data includes the information needed to place you in a suitable circle: your memorization and recitation level, availability, learning goals, and — for minor students — guardian details.
We record your learning progress, such as portions memorized, teacher assessments, attendance, and reviews, in order to track your journey and issue your certificates and ijazahs.
Payments are processed by trusted third-party providers. We do not store your full card numbers or payment details on our servers; the payment provider holds that data under its own security standards.
How We Use Your Information
We use your data to manage your account, place you in suitable circles, schedule sessions, track your progress, issue your certificates, and communicate with you about your studies.
We also use it to process payments, send study notifications and reminders, and improve the quality of our educational programs and the experience of our website.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for marketing beyond our services without your explicit consent.
Cookies and Analytics
We use essential cookies to operate the site and to remember your preferences, such as language and login state.
We operate our own first-party analytics across the website and the mobile app to understand how they are used and to improve them. These tools record the pages and screens you visit and your interactions with them, approximate device and browser information, your IP address, and a device identifier; when you are signed in, this activity is linked to your account to follow your journey across both platforms.
This data stays on our own systems (Supabase) and is never sold or shared with advertisers or third-party tracking networks. You can limit cookies and local storage through your browser settings, and you may contact us to access or delete your activity data.
Data Sharing
We share only the necessary portion of your data with trusted service providers acting on our behalf, such as payment processors, server hosting, email, and video session platforms, under agreements that protect its confidentiality.
We may disclose data where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our students and ourselves. We do not share your data with other parties for their own marketing.
Data Security
We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and periodic review of our security practices.
Despite our care, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure; we therefore encourage you to choose a strong password and keep your login credentials confidential.
Children's Privacy and Guardian Consent
We welcome minor students into our programs, mindful of the value of raising children upon the Book of Allah. A child must be enrolled with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian, who remains responsible for the child's account.
We collect only the data necessary to provide instruction and track the child's progress. A guardian may review, request correction of, or request deletion of their child's data by contacting us.
Your Rights
You have the right to access your personal data, request its correction or update, request deletion of your account, and withdraw your consent to processing where applicable.
You also have the right to object to certain processing and to request a copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time under applicable law.
International Data Transfers
We serve students worldwide, and your data may be processed or stored on servers in a country other than your own. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is protected to an adequate standard wherever it is processed.
